Like a number of other countries across the world, the United States recognizes the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification as the standard for measuring building sustainability. At Precision Walls, Inc., we can help you promote design and construction practices that both increase profitability and reduce the negative impact of buildings on the environment through our LEED-certified experience and services.
What are LEED Green Building Rating Systems?
Developed and administered by the U.S. Green Building Council, LEED green building rating systems are a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. Rating systems feature four certification levels for new construction (Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum), offering the best proof to your customers and your peers that you have achieved your environmental goals and that your building is performing as designed across the five “green” design categories:
- Sustainable sites
- Water efficiency
- Energy and atmosphere
- Materials and resources
- Indoor environmental quality
